Blockchain & Digital Public Governance: Public Values and Legal Compliance by Design

On the 26th of April Jurgen Goossens delivered the opening keynote speech “Blockchain & Digital Public Governance: Public Values and Legal Compliance by Design” during the final conference of Blockchain IN Government (BLING). Over the last 4 years BLING has explored, enabled and delivered blockchain-enabled services for (local) governments. During the final conference of BLING the potential of blockchain technology in government will be examined through the lessons learned from BLING project pilots. In his keynote, Jurgen Goossens addressed how public values, such as transparency and accountability, can be operationalized in practice and embedded in the design of blockchain.
