    Abstract

The article ‘Lung cancer risk among bricklayers in a pooled analysis of case–control studies’ in the International Journal of Cancer publishes findings of an epidemiological study (in the frame of a SYNERGY-project) dedicated to the lung cancer risk among bricklayers. The authors conclude that a focus on the work environment, in particular the monitoring and control of respirable crystalline silica
containing dust, may provide a further opportunity for lung cancer prevention.
